College.... Again?!?
Today I am working on requesting my transcripts from Delaware County Community College. I hope to finish a Worship and Ministry Arts degree at Calvary Chapel University. I found out the other day that I get a 50% discount on tuition which is the main reason I decided to continue schooling! I will already have 60 credits from OE and will be transferring 12 credits from before, this should allow me to finish my degree with only 48 new credits!

Exciting things
Hey everyone, I always feel that I need to start out by apologizing for the long span of time where this blog has sat with no new posts! Since I was home for Brandon's wedding things have been crazy here. We have started rehearsal for our new band called "Waken", which means "to rouse from an inactive state. We are scheduled for a night of worship on February at a local youth group and just got informed that we have yhe opportunity to play a Brazilian conference of 5,000 people! We have started writing songs and hope to have an EP out by February!
In other news we are beginning preparations for our Christmas program, we ha our first production meeting today! I have also been given the opportunity to play keys at eikon this Wednesday which will be in the main sanctuary so I am pretty excited. I am actually waiting to go on the stage and check out the piano now so I know how to use all the features (if they will be streaming it I will post the link so check back soon)
This month I will be going toTallahassee for a youth conference. We have the opportunity to play the conference, Calvary Tallehassee and ther youth service! This isn't my ensemble but just a random band selected by the school.
Ill see you at Thanks Giving!

October !
Hope all is well on the home front! Today I had the opportunity to lead for an "action sports conference " which is for skaters, surfers and snowboarders! It was my first time leading since I got back , which was really cool! My band is playing for a school chapel in two weeks and I am also playing for an artist at the upcoming artist show (we have one every month ) .
This is my weekly schedule. If you care to know waft I do.
Monday - "Off" which means I do homework
Tuesday - 9:30 I normally take some time Tuesday morning to do some office hours with my practicum leader, this is my time to actually get the tedious work done. At 1 I have vocal lab, but that it for classes on Tuesdays. I have a meeting with my mentor at 3 and House cleaning and room checks at 6.
Wednesday - This tends to be my busiest day! I have a 9 am chapel ( I do sound every other chapel, so I have to be there at 7:45 ) after chapel I have Ensembles ( where we practice with our bands, after ensembles I have lunch and worship lab at 1:30 . On a normal Wednesday I go directly to Eikon (young adults ministry) to help set up for worship and learn about the production process (music, lights, PowerPoint and so on ) Normally I can leave Eikon around 9 and get home for vocal practice!
Thursdays- Thursday morning we have second year practicum meeting where we talk about what we did in practicum the week before, after that we go to our Acts class, I go straight to a lunch meeting about tech stuff and every other week I have a vocal lesson. Thursdays I have some time to run through my ensemble songs and practice any songs that I should learn for bands.
Friday - At 10:30 we have Advanced ableton class , prayer at 1, songwriting and create time at 1:30-4.
Saturday - At 10:00 we have ministry leadership , at 1:15 we have charting class and second year small groups at
2:30.
Sunday- I normally spend the morning and afternoon I have been shadowing sound guys at high school ministry !
It seems like a lot of gaps , but when you factor on an hour of voice practice every day , practice and homework it gets pretty chaotic. But I like being busy !
We have officially launched our electronic worship band, we have our first booking on the 8th of November. We have to fill an hour , which should add a good work load to my practice time :) We also booked a trip to Tallahassee for a night of worship and worship at a few youth groups in late November ! A little birdie told me that our band is booked for a tour this summer .... Maybe even with a stop in Delaware County !
I must go to bed now because I have a beach baptism to attend tomorrow at 8, it's my first beach baptism so it should be a good time.
See you all next weekend !!!!

Quick Update
Sorry about my lack of posting, I have been super busy. Here is a quick update on what I am up to around here. I have been playing some worship services around here, I had the opportunity to play keys for a night of worship at Calvary Chapel FAU (Florida Atlantic University), it was my first time playing with the second year class and was a great time! I have started my practicum which is with Will , my Ableton teacher (Who is also in charge of service planning for Eikon, the young adults gathering), my responsibilities for the next few weeks will be uploading all the loops (Tracks that they play to fill out the worship set) to a server so that all the worship leaders have access to them at all the campuses. I have been doing a lot of sound for chapels and labs, it's been cool to learn how to mix on a digital board, which is something that is very new for me. One of my house mates Justin is starting a band that will be geared toward youth groups, the songs we will be doing will be very pop"esk" which is very exciting for me!
Miss you all!
Miss you all!
